Ruby On Rails - posted by dg - on March 26 2009
The evil users now have access to the Rails framework.
I know this is not new, and there are a lot of hosting companies out there that offer Ruby On Rails (RoR), but hey we're free and we decided to wait for cPanel to offer a stable release that can integrate RoR and to provide reliable install scripts and documentation (call us old fashion).
It is a well known fact that RoR increases the load of the server, so we are offering this to our users for learning purposes only and the casual development of small applications. If you want to deploy a larger application using RoR then you'll probably be better off using another hosting provider since the resources of our server are pretty limited.
You can access Ruby On Rails by logging in cPanel and clicking the Ruby On Rails icon from the Software/Services tab. To install/update gems click on the Ruby Gems icon from the Software/Services tab.
In case you have any questions please post them in the forum.
